PU Injection Parts

The characteristic property of this type of polyurethane is a highly flexible and tear-resistant outer shell with a softer, cellular core. Due to the special composition of the reaction components an integrated skin is formed on the exterior of the moulded parts.
It exhibits high mechanical durability and is largely closed. It can be smooth or textured even colored depending on the nature of the mould. The foam core always retains its cellular structure. The final product can be soft or semi-rigid depending on the requested SHORE levels. Thanks to the impact-absorbing character of the foam core in combination with the robust, tough and resilient skin, one of the essential characteristics of this foam is the high level of protection it provides. Integral foam can be also moulded with steel parts, providing additional protection, extending the life of the product or giving better visual effects. Fire performance standards are FMVSS 302 for Automotive, DIN 5510, EN 45545-2 for Railways (more available on demand). Providing excellent anti vibration properties, the PU foam matrix can be adapted to the requirements of the final product: from soft to semi-rigid covering a broad range of applications such as,

  • Acoustic parts for engine compartments (i.e. engine covers)
  • Steering wheels
  • Anti-vibration pads (i.e. radiator pads)
  • Arm rests and handles
  • Seat upholstery
  • Floor mats
  • Safety pads
  • Gap fillers
  • Complex PU combinations Integrated with Steel parts
